  • Update v0.4.0 - Enhancement Update

    New Systems

    Equipment Enhancement
    Use Beast Ethers to upgrade your gear quality from Normal → Refined → Special → Beast. Each tier boosts your weapon and armor stats. Beast quality triples your equipment's base stats!

    Gem Sockets
    Beast Ether Enhancement attempts have a rare chance to add a gem socket to your item (max 2 sockets per item)

    Beast Ether Drop
    Every NPC in the game has a rare chance (0.5%) to drop a Beast Ether. When one drops, all players on the server are notified

    Casino & Slot Machines
    Visit the new Casino map! Play slot machines with spinning reels, progressive jackpots that grow with every spin, and spectator mode so you can watch others play

    Water Prison Technique
    Trap enemies in a sphere of water. Larger sphere for boss-sized enemies**

    Rock Fist Technique
    Erupt a stone fist from the ground that launches enemies into the air

    Lightning Palm Technique
    Toggle-based technique hand-anchored VFX and a devastating dash-attack on melee hit

    Equipment Aura FX
    Beast quality weapons glow with a fiery aura visible to all players

    Events System
    Tournament/event system with phases, scoring, and rewards (early version)
    Combat & Gameplay

    Other changes:

    • Elemental damage system (Fire, Water, Earth, Wind, Lightning)
    • Boss AI improvements dodges, repositions, uses jutsu strategically, no longer freezes in mid-air during attacks
    • Body Substitution buff now displays visually
    • Severing Wave looping sound effect
    • New players spawn with a Wooden Torch
    • Death ghost orb appears at death location
    • Inventory, Techniques, and Controls panels are now mutually exclusive opening one closes the others
    • Item throw preview shows when dragging items outside inventory
    • "Jump" label added to controls help screen
    • Casino has camera bounds -v camera stays inside the building
    • Music caching - no re-fetching when returning to a map
    • Equipment tooltips show quality-scaled stats with base value comparison
    • Progressive jackpot display on slot machines with live updates across all machines
    • New Casino interior map with safe zone
    • Bound Camera option for interior maps

    Fixes

    • Fixed rock fist prediction snaps and air-stuck bugs
    • Fixed players getting stuck in water prison after minimizing the game
    • Fixed NPC Y-stacking on respawn
    • Fixed equipment lights flickering on equip/unequip
    • Fixed duplicate texture/sprite loading across FX systems
    • Fixed fish visibility through water
    • Fixed death respawn on neighbor tiles
    • Fixed slot machine session not clearing on disconnect
    • Fixed prop visibility disappearing when re-entering maps
    • Fixed placed lights persisting into wrong maps

  • Welcome our new developer, Tenga! + Update v0.3.9

    A new chapter begins in Ninjora.

    We’re excited to officially welcome Tenga to the team - a talented pixel artist and developer whose work already carries the spirit of the world we’re building. His craftsmanship doesn’t just add visuals… it adds identity. Every sprite, every detail pushes Ninjora closer to a living, breathing shinobi world.

  • Update v0.3.8 New Movement, Scenes & Character Customization

    The world of Ninjora continues to grow. Over the past development cycle we’ve focused on making the game feel more dynamic, immersive, and expressive for players. Several new systems and customization improvements have been added.

    New Dash / Dodge Movement
    Movement in Ninjora has been upgraded with a Dash/Dodge mechanic. Players can now quickly burst forward to evade attacks, reposition during combat, or close the distance on enemies. This adds a new layer of skill to fights and makes combat feel much more fluid and ninja-like.

    The system is designed to integrate naturally with movement prediction and combat responsiveness so that it feels instant and smooth during gameplay.

    New Scene System
    A brand new Scene system has been implemented.

    Scenes allow the game to temporarily take control of the camera and characters to create cinematic moments during gameplay. This system will be used for:

    • Story moments and lore events
    • Boss encounters
    • Important NPC interactions
    • Future mission sequences

    Scenes can zoom the camera, focus on NPCs, and visually guide the player through important events before returning control back to normal gameplay.

    Character Customization Expanded
    Character creation has also received several improvements.

    • Hair Color Expansion
      Additional hair color options have been added to the character customization screen, allowing players to further personalize their ninja’s appearance.

    • New Eye Color Customization
      Players can now choose their character’s eye color, adding another layer of identity and style to their character.

    These customization options will continue expanding as more visual content is added to the game.

    Development Continues

    Ninjora is steadily evolving toward a larger and more immersive world. The long-term goal remains building a seamless multiplayer ninja world with systems like streamed maps, shared physics, and synchronized gameplay across all players.

    More updates are on the way as development continues.

    Changes:

    • Equipment now have a chance at being dropped from Chicken, Hen, & Bear
    • Stone hatchet now has a visual display
    • Fishing Rod display is being actively worked on - expect empty frames
    • Torii Gate added to village
    • Melee / Ranged weapons display item and amount of ranged weapons
    • Tree fall physics - now falls onto other buildings or blocked objects

  • Update v0.3.7 - New Chat System & Major Fixes

    The Chat System has been completely revamped and now features a full multi-channel communication system designed to make conversations clearer and more organized across the world of Ninjora. Players can now communicate through separate channels such as All, General, Shout, and, Team, ensuring that social chat, group coordination, and marketplace activity no longer clutter the same space with the options to hide and resize chat window

    • NPC and Player names are now displayed if the camera is directed in their direction

    Fixes:

    • Unable to jump going downhill
    • Server mismatch when respawning on a roof collision
    • Game loading sequence out of order
    • Screen shake applying to players when another player is hit
    • Tree fall was causing screen shake to players far away
    • Level up display glitch

  • Update v0.3.6 - Chakra Control & Technique Leveling

    Two new progression systems have been added to Ninjora: Chakra Control and Technique Leveling.

    Chakra Control introduces a new training technique that allows players to refine their chakra through a focused mini-game. By successfully aligning chakra through key points in the body, players can earn Chakra Control experience and increase their mastery. Higher Chakra Control improves chakra regeneration, allowing ninjas to recover energy faster during combat and training.

    We’ve also introduced Technique Leveling. Technique will now gain experience as they are used, allowing each technique to grow stronger over time. The more a technique is practiced, the more efficient and powerful it becomes.

    These systems add a deeper layer of progression, encouraging players to train their chakra and master the techniques they rely on most.

    All players have the Chakra Control Technique:
    Open Technique Window (T) > Click on the technique > Assign it to a hotkey > Use

    Continue your training and refine your path as a ninja.

    To our growing world, we're introducing Fishing!

    Obtain a Fishing Rod and look for fish to capture. The higher rank of fish, the harder they are to catch.

    Motion your mouse in circles to reel in a bite.
